North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust...

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides integrated hospital and community care across Hartlepool, Stockton and parts of County Durham.  The Trust serves a population of around 400,000 people and employs around 6,500 staff.

Hospital services are delivered from the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool. A range of community services are delivered from Peterlee Community Hospital, Lawson Street Health Centre in Stockton and One Life Hartlepool, as well as in people’s own homes.

The Trust consistently ranks in the top five performing trusts for ED performance and was selected as a pilot site for the new standards, which it continues to be a part of.  It was also one of the first to implement an Integrated Single Point of Access, reducing avoidable hospital admissions through partnership working with health and social care partners.

In 2024, the Trust signed a partnership agreement with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board to form one hospital group. The formal agreement will help strengthen the way both Trusts collaborate with each other to deliver better outcomes for patients and the wider population across the Tees Valley and beyond.
