North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust...

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) is creating a centre of excellence in providing rural and remote healthcare.  It provides a wide range of community and acute services to patients throughout north Cumbria and beyond. 

The Trust has a 6,000 strong workforce and is passionate about its values of kindness, respect, ambition and collaboration to make NCIC a great place to work.  The Trust has five key principles which it believes are vital to deliver ‘safe, high quality care every time’:

As well as acute hospital services, the Trust is part of eight Integrated Care Communities (ICCs).  These were set up in 2018 and have helped to build relationships between a wide range of health and care partners.  This includes health and social care staff, GPs, the voluntary sector, as well as the community who are all working in a collaborative way to improve services for patients locally. 

NCIC has strong links with local universities in Cumbria providing high quality placements for students and a vast range of unique careers at NCIC.
