Neil joined the NHS in 1990 as a Management Trainee and over the past three decades he has worked in acute, community and mental health Trusts. This has included operational and planning roles, as well as a variety of regional and local strategy and commissioning functions. Apart from seven-year period commissioning acute and specialist services in South East London, all of this career has been in the North East and Yorkshire region.
Neil has worked at North of England Care System Support since 2017 working on a diverse range of programmes and projects including outcome-based commissioning, cervical screening and, since February 2020, the Provider Collaborative.
Within the Provider Collaborative Neil provides support on a range of operational and associated issues as well as working with our North East and North Cumbria Networks and helping with the wider development of NENC Providers.
Neil enjoys the opportunity to get stuck in and work with clinicians and service colleagues to address problems and improve services for patients.
