Jill Simpson has worked in the NHS for more than 10 years. During this time, she has worked in service improvement, health inequalities, clinical networks and programme management roles. She has worked with NHS providers, commissioning teams, local authorities and regional organisations across the North East and North Cumbria and beyond.
As Clinical Strategy Lead for the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Provider Collaborative, Jill works closely with Clinical Lead, Dr Chris Snowden. Together, they work with NHS trusts, clinical networks and partner organisations to help shape clinical services across the region and support high-quality care for local people.
Jill is passionate about improving health and care for the communities she serves. She believes that working together is the best way to solve problems, reduce differences in care and improve services for patients. She is keen to build on the strong services already in place across the region and help spread good practice across organisations.
Through her role, Jill supports teams from across the North East and North Cumbria to work together, share ideas and develop services that meet the needs of local people now and in the future.
Jill enjoys working with people who care deeply about improving healthcare across the region and share the same goal of delivering better outcomes for patients. Outside of work, she enjoys meeting friends and family for coffee and cake, going to live music events and taking part in fitness classes to support her physical and mental wellbeing.
